Trauma Therapist in Florida, Ohio and Trinidad & Tobago
Meet Amanda Mohammed,
LMHC #26396, LPCC #E.2606755
At Amala Healing, therapy is a space for grounding, growth, and reconnection to yourself, your body, and your inner wisdom.
My services are conducted online over a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform ensuring your privacy and confidentiality at all times.
I specialize in trauma-informed care and work with clients navigating childhood trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, depression, relational struggles, identity exploration, and life transitions. I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and compassion, creating a space where clients feel seen, emotionally safe, and empowered to move at their own pace.
As someone with Caribbean roots and a multicultural background, I am deeply attuned to the ways culture, family systems, intergenerational trauma, and societal expectations shape our mental health. I strive to offer culturally responsive care that honors your lived experience, especially for clients who have felt misunderstood, silenced, or pressured to “be strong.”
My therapeutic style is collaborative and integrative. I blend evidence-based modalities with a relational, nervous-system-informed approach, helping clients build insight while also developing practical tools for emotional regulation, boundaries, and self-trust.
Services & Fees Psychological Services
Individual, couples, family, and EMDR therapy — plus specialized concierge and immigration-evaluation services.
For Trinidad & Tobago clients that are interested in therapy, please contact me at amalatherapyllc@gmail.com for pricing.
Individual Talk Therapy
One-on-one sessions for anxiety, depression, identity, and life transitions.
USD($)125 / 60 min
Immigration Psychological Evaluation
USD($)1200 with additional cost for expedited services.
An immigration psychological evaluation is a confidential assessment that documents the emotional and psychological impact of experiences relevant to an immigration case, such as trauma, persecution, family separation, or significant hardship.
How it can benefit your case
A professional evaluation can provide independent clinical documentation of your psychological experiences and how they affect your daily functioning and well-being. It can help provide a clearer, more comprehensive picture of the hardship or trauma involved and give your immigration attorney supporting evidence to consider when preparing your case.
The evaluation typically includes a comprehensive clinical interview and, when appropriate, psychological assessment. A professional written report is prepared for use in your immigration proceedings.
Insurance & Payment
Contact me at 954-399-0171 or amalatherapyllc@gmail.com to verify if I accept your plan for individual talk therapy and understand your coverage for outpatient mental health virtual sessions. I do not accept insurance for EMDR, family, couples therapy or immigration evaluations.
Out-of-network insurance: some insurances provide “out-of-network” coverage. We have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Click the Mentaya icon to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services.

From Clients
“Amanda is an amazing therapist! Her approach is unique in the sense that she pays attention to things you say and zones in on key items that may be worth exploring further. She allows you to express yourself and encourages you to talk about your feelings. She asks questions sometimes that may seem simple but prove to be difficult which requires you to really look internally in order to process your thoughts thoroughly. I would highly encourage anyone to give her the opportunity to assist with any concerns. 10/10.”

CS

She has a way of asking simple yet effective questions that make you think deeply about your feelings in order to understand the root causes of various behaviors. Amanda is polite, professional and overall a pleasure to work with. She has helped me understand my behaviors and has helped me to see the root causes of my trauma. I will continue to work with her and would highly recommend her services.”

“Amanda is caring, interested, and highly skilled in getting me to unlock the insights inside. She's incredibly bright and will remember details that I can't even remember I've given her! She shows up as a friend and a collaborator and a professional all at once. She's flexible with our structure but doesn't let me avoid the important topics that I often skirt around. I would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“It’s been a pleasure having Amanda as my therapist these past few months. Establishing care with her was a breeze and she was one of the most flexible and understanding providers I have ever worked with. We were able to tailor my therapy sessions to a regimen that really met my needs and has allowed me to continue therapy, something I have struggled with in past attempts. On the clinical side of things Amanda is excellent. She is skilled in many different therapy techniques such as DBT, CBT, couples counseling and is constantly expanding her knowledge and skills for her patients. She really takes the time to get to know her patients which allows them to get to the root causes of problems and discover solutions. It has been a pleasure thus far and I look forward to continuing my therapy and life improvement journey with her.”
